Delete your account and your data

Last updated 26 September 2026.

To have your account and your personal data deleted, email hello@stitchfloor.com from the address on the account. You do not need to be signed in, and there is no form to fill in. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

There are two different things you might want removed, and they are removed in two different ways, so it is worth knowing which one you mean.

The Stitchfloor app, used as a demonstration

If you typed the company code demo, there is no account and nothing to request. Everything the demonstration holds is fictional sample data kept on your own phone, and nothing was ever sent to us. Remove it either way:

  • open Settings in the app and choose Clear records; or
  • uninstall the app, which deletes everything it stored.

A workspace account at your company

If you signed in with your employer's company code, you have an account. Either route works:

  • Ask an administrator at your company. They can withdraw your access immediately, from the workspace itself. That is usually the fastest.
  • Or email hello@stitchfloor.com from the email address the account uses. Say that you want the account deleted, and include your name and your company code if you know it. We may write back once to confirm the request came from you; we ask for nothing beyond the account's own address.

What is deleted

  • the sign-in account itself, so it can no longer be used;
  • your name and email address;
  • the record of which devices the account signed in from, and when.

What is kept, and why

The manufacturing records entered while using Stitchfloor — lots, assignments, wages, invoices, payments and stock movements — belong to the company that entered them, not to us. They are that business's accounts and production history, and it has its own legal obligation to keep them. So we cannot erase them on an individual's request; that request has to come from the company itself, and we action it the same way.

An entry may name the person who recorded it, because an audit trail that cannot say who entered a figure is not an audit trail. Where your company asks us to remove the whole workspace, all of it goes together.

How long it takes

Within 30 days of the request. Access is withdrawn straight away, so the account stops working before the deletion itself completes. Encrypted backups held by our processors roll off on their own schedule and are not readable by us in the ordinary course.

If it is the whole workspace

An administrator can ask for a company's entire workspace to be deleted, by writing from an administrator's own address. Download the records first if you want a copy — Settings has a Download records export that produces one file, and we cannot restore a workspace once it has gone.
