Zoho runs the whole business. Stitchfloor runs the garment floor.

Zoho ERP puts manufacturing orders, job cards, a shop floor module and subcontracting on top of Zoho Books, with e-invoices, Hindi in Books and apps on Android and iOS.1, 2 It is broad and capable. Stitchfloor is narrower: made for the floor of a garment unit, with piece-rate wages, lots at printers and Hindi supervisor desks.

01The short answer

Which one should you pick?

Zoho is the broader system. Stitchfloor is the deeper one on a garment floor. Here is how we would decide.

Pick Zoho if

One vendor for most of the business.

  • You want full accounting, e-invoices and e-way bills from one vendor, with Zoho filing as your GSP.3, 4
  • You need manufacturing orders, bills of materials, work centres and subcontracting.1, 5
  • Your team works in Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil or Telugu as well as Hindi: Zoho Books' India edition has all of them.2
  • You want native apps on Android and iOS today.1, 6
  • You want cash-flow forecasting and Zia's insights in the books.7

Pick Stitchfloor if

For the garment floor, from the bundle to the payout.

  • You pay by the piece, per process, and approve wages weekly.
  • Lots go out to printers and come back counted.
  • Supervisors should have desks built for a garment floor, in Hindi.
  • On a live workspace (your company's own Stitchfloor, as opposed to the public demo), a supervisor should be able to speak an entry instead of typing it.
  • You want customer tiers with a rule of action, and a catalogue for buyers, as a PDF or an online link, whose enquiries land on Leads.

03Fair to both

Where each one is stronger.

Zoho covers more of the business. Stitchfloor covers more of the garment floor.

ZohoWhere it is stronger

  • Compliance, end to end.E-way bills with Zoho as your GSP, and e-invoices pushed straight to the IRP.3, 4
  • More Indian languages.Zoho Books' India edition runs in Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Stitchfloor has Hindi and English.2
  • Manufacturing breadth.Bills of materials, manufacturing orders, work centres, a shop floor module, job cards with timers, and subcontracting.1, 5, 10
  • Apps on Android and iOS.Zoho ERP has native apps on Android and iOS. Stitchfloor's Android app is in closed testing and its iPhone app is coming soon.1, 6
  • One vendor.Accounts, stock, manufacturing and WhatsApp messages from one company, priced per user.1

StitchfloorWhere it is different

  • Piece-rate wages. Each process has a rate. A wage is earned when the bundle goes out and paid through a weekly payout an approver signs off. We did not find piece-rate pay in Zoho ERP.
  • Lots at printers.Lots go out to printers and are counted back in, so nobody has to phone round to find one.
  • The garment's own units.Fabric by weight and colour, garments by design and size, packaging inputs, and an alteration register.
  • Hindi supervisor desks, and voice. The Production, Operations and Inventory desks run in Hindi, and on a live workspace a supervisor can speak an entry, picked from your own workers and open lots and the factory's six processes, and confirm it.
  • The owner's view.A cash forecast from how each customer and creditor pays, four customer tiers each with a rule of action, and a dead-stock catalogue for buyers, as a PDF or an online link.
04What it costs

05Running both

Keep your books. Add the floor.

If your accountant keeps the books in Zoho Books or anything else, Stitchfloor sits beside them.

  1. Your accountant

Your accountant's software keeps the statutory books

The trial balance, input GST, depreciation and GST returns stay where they are, with the person who files them.

  2. Your supervisors and office

Stitchfloor runs the floor and the daily books

Lots, job cards, piece-rate wages, stock, GST invoices, e-way bills on live workspaces, receivables and payables.

  3. Between the two

    Files, carried by a person

Stitchfloor's Accounts page imports the journal workbook your accountant exports, and several of its registers and reports download as CSV for your accountant.

There is no live connection between the two Stitchfloor does not sync with Zoho, and nothing posts from one to the other on its own. Records move between them as a file that somebody imports or exports.
06Questions

Before you choose.

Zoho ERP has job cards and a shop floor module. Why look at Stitchfloor?

Zoho's job cards are released from a manufacturing order and timed per employee.10 Stitchfloor's floor is a garment floor's: bundles given to tailors at a rate per process, pieces counted back, weekly job cards, lots out at printers and an alteration register, on supervisor desks in Hindi. If you run several kinds of manufacturing, Zoho's broader model may suit you better.

Does Zoho work in Hindi?

Zoho Books' India edition does, along with five more Indian languages, and Zoho ERP's App Store listing includes Hindi.2, 6 Stitchfloor offers Hindi and English only, on the Production, Operations and Inventory desks.

Does Stitchfloor connect to Zoho?

Not with a live connection, and nothing moves between the two on its own. Stitchfloor's Accounts page imports the journal workbook your accountant exports, and several registers and reports download as CSV. An administrator can also download the whole workspace from Settings at any time.

Can Stitchfloor do everything Zoho does?

No. It does the daily work most factories open accounting software for: GST invoices, e-way bills on live workspaces, party ledgers, a cash and bank book, receivables and payables, and a profit estimate.

Input GST, statutory filings, depreciation and a trial balance are outside it, and it does not make e-invoices or file GST returns. Your accountant keeps those books.

Can I try it before I talk to you?

Yes. The public demo at demo.stitchfloor.com opens every desk on a sample factory, with a shared password and nothing to install. Voice entry and e-way bill filing need a live workspace; in the demo an e-way bill number is typed in by hand. The online catalogue and Leads are in the demo too; on a live workspace they need a one-time setup step.
