The garment floor and the daily books, on one record.

BUSY is accounting and stock software from Busy Infotech, owned by IndiaMART. BUSY says more than 6 lakh businesses use it.1, 2 It costs less, and its garment manufacturing tracks fabric lots and style costing from the office.13 Stitchfloor keeps the same daily books, from the cutting table to the balance sheet, and puts the floor's work in the hands of the people who do it: supervisors on their own desks, in Hindi.

Checked against busy.in, October 2026. BUSY sells two lines: BUSY 21, a licence you buy once, and BUSY Magic, a subscription for 360 days.3

01The short answer

Which platform is the right fit?

BUSY is the cheaper way to keep the books from the office. Stitchfloor is the way to get the floor's own work into the same books without anybody typing it twice.

Choose BUSY if

Accounting software with a large base of users.

  • You want accounting, GST, e-way bills and e-invoices for the lowest price: BUSY Magic SMART is ₹8,000 for 360 days, plus GST.3
  • Your sales staff should take orders and make invoices on a phone, on Android or iOS.4
  • The office keys in the floor's work: BUSY 21's garment manufacturing tracks fabric lots, karigar job work and style-wise costing from the office.13
  • You want a dealer nearby for set-up and changes.8

Choose Stitchfloor if

The floor and the books should agree without retyping.

  • Your supervisors should record the floor's work themselves, on their own desks, on a phone.
  • Your floor reads Hindi: the Production, Operations and Inventory desks run in Hindi.
  • You pay a rate per process and approve the week's wages in one payout.
  • You follow every lot from cutting to packing, print weekly job cards and send lots to printers part by part.
  • You want the daily books kept from the work itself: double-entry books, GSTR-1 ready to upload, GSTR-3B worked out for your accountant, e-invoices and e-way bills.
  • You want a cash forecast customer by customer, and customer tiers with a rule for each.
02Feature comparison

Stitchfloor and BUSY, capability by capability.

BUSY is assessed on the edition priced below rather than the entry tier, against the vendor's own documentation, with the specific finding beside each verdict. Partial indicates the capability is limited, manual, reserved for a higher tier or delivered through a paid add-on or third-party app. Not documented indicates we found no reference in the vendor's documentation, which is distinct from the vendor confirming it is unavailable. The heading row stays in view as you scroll; select a verdict to open its source.

03Fair to both

Where each one is stronger.

BUSY keeps the books for less money, and records garment work from the office. Stitchfloor keeps the same daily books and was built for the people on the floor.

BUSYWhere it is stronger

  • The books, for less.Full accounting, GST, e-way bills and e-invoices. Even Enterprise with the app on ten phones, about ₹97,114 in year one with GST, costs less than a year of Stitchfloor; you pay it up front.1, 3
  • A mobile app for sales.Orders, quotations, invoices and receipts from a phone, on Android and iOS, syncing with the desktop.4
  • Garment manufacturing from the office. On BUSY 21, fabric by lot, roll and colour, karigar job work with what is pending, work in progress and style-wise costing.13
  • A large base of users.BUSY says more than 6 lakh businesses use it, and IndiaMART has owned it since 2022.1, 2

StitchfloorWhere it is different

  • The books are kept by the work.An invoice, a receipt, a printer's bill or a week's wages posts to the double-entry books as it is recorded, so the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet are never a month behind the floor. GSTR-1 comes out ready to upload, and GSTR-3B is worked out for your accountant.
  • The floor has its own desks.BUSY's app is for owners, sales, accounts and the store. In Stitchfloor, Production and Operations supervisors sign in to screens built for their work: every lot in the factory, worker assignments and weekly job cards, printed one at a time or all at once.
  • Hindi where the work happens. The Production, Operations and Inventory desks run in Hindi on the web and on Android, with about 40 spoken instructions. Printed documents stay in English.
  • Speak the entry. On a live workspace a supervisor says one sentence in Hindi or Hinglish. The form fills in from your own workers and open lots, and your factory's own process steps, and nothing saves until a person confirms it.
  • Piece-rate wages, printers and the factory's cash.Wages are paid through a weekly payout an approver signs off, or by ticking the week's job cards, net of advances. Lots go to printers part by part and are counted back in, and the supervisor's factory cash book is kept apart from the office's.
04Pricing and implementation

Total cost of ownership for ten users, GST included.

Each product is priced for ten named users on the edition closest to Stitchfloor's scope, with 18% GST applied and minimum seat counts, annual prepayment, renewals, per-device fees and remote access included. Due at signing is the cash required before the first transaction is posted. Stitchfloor charges no implementation fee and invoices only from go-live.

BUSY 21 Enterprise, multi-user, with the app on 10 phones

₹8,093effective monthly cost in year one, 10 users, GST included

Compare plans

Implementation fees and billing terms.

No vendor publishes an implementation rate card; ranges are partners' and independent analysts' published estimates.

If billing and accounts are all you need, BUSY costs less, and its Standard edition less again. Stitchfloor's price buys the floor and the books on one record, billed monthly, with setup and moving your data done with you.

05Moving across

From running both to one record.

Many factories start with the floor and move the daily books once they trust the figures. Your accountant does not have to change anything.

  1. The first weeks

    Start the floor in Stitchfloor

Supervisors record lots, job cards, wages and printers on their own desks, and the office goes on billing from BUSY while the records build up.

  2. Your office

    Move the daily books across

Invoices, e-invoices, e-way bills, receipts and payments are made in Stitchfloor and post to its double-entry books as the work happens. Opening balances come in by pasting your accountant's journal sheet.

  3. Your accountant

    They keep their own software

If your accountant works in TallyPrime, the books download as an XML file it imports.20 Whatever they use, registers and reports download as CSV, so they reconcile the bank, book TDS and depreciation, and file the returns where they always have.

What we leave to your accountant Stitchfloor prepares the returns and keeps the daily books; your accountant files on the GST portal and closes the year. Files move between the two when a person downloads and imports them: there is no live sync with BUSY or Tally.
06Questions

Before you change anything.

Can Stitchfloor keep our books instead of BUSY?

It keeps the daily books most factories open accounting software for: GST invoices, e-invoices, e-way bills, receipts and payments, party ledgers, a cash and bank book, and double-entry books with a trial balance, profit and loss and a balance sheet. GSTR-1 is prepared for upload and GSTR-3B is worked out for your accountant, with input tax credit and the GSTR-2B match.

What it leaves to your accountant: TDS, bank reconciliation, depreciation, and filing the returns on the GST portal.

BUSY has a garment manufacturing page. Is that the same thing?

It covers a lot of the same ground from the office: fabric by lot, roll and colour, karigar job work, work in progress and style-wise costing, on BUSY 21.13 Stitchfloor puts those records in the hands of the people on the floor: supervisors' own desks in Hindi, voice entry, weekly job cards, piece-rate wages approved in one weekly payout, and lots sent to printers part by part.

Does Stitchfloor connect to BUSY?

By file and by paste, not by a live connection. Your accountant's journal sheet can be pasted into Stitchfloor's Accounts page, and several registers and reports download as CSV. For an accountant on TallyPrime, the books also download as an XML file Tally imports. An administrator can download the whole workspace from Settings at any time.

BUSY has a mobile app. How is Stitchfloor different?

BUSY's app is for owners, sales staff, accountants and store managers: orders, invoices, receipts and reports.4 Stitchfloor's phone screens are for the floor as well: production and operations supervisors record assignments, pieces back and factory cash, in Hindi if they prefer. There are Android and iPhone apps built for the floor, by invitation, and every desk also runs in any phone's browser.

Is BUSY available in Hindi?

BUSY's support pages say it can print invoices in another language, Hindi included, once Google Input Tools is installed.8 We did not find Hindi screens. Stitchfloor's Production, Operations and Inventory desks run in Hindi; its printed documents stay in English.

Can I try it before I talk to you?

Yes. The public demo at demo.stitchfloor.com opens every desk on a sample factory, with a shared password and nothing to install. Voice entry and filing with the GST portals need a live workspace; in the demo an IRN or an e-way bill number is typed in by hand. The online catalogue and Leads are in the demo too; on a live workspace they need a one-time setup step.
